YOUTH TOUR
What is the Youth Tour?
Are you ready to experience Washington, D.C. with students from across the country? Each year, High Plains Power, Inc. has the opportunity to sponsor high school students from Wyoming to take part in the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour—an unforgettable opportunity to explore our nation’s capital, meet new people, and grow as a leader.
Get ready for an unforgettable week in Washington, D.C.! From June 16–22, 2027, you’ll join more than 1,800 students from across the country to explore historical monuments, museums, meet with elected officials, grow your leadership skills, boost your resume, and build lasting connections with young leaders from across America.
And here’s another great part: High Plains Power, Inc. covers most of the cost, including travel, lodging, meals, and group excursions. Selected students are only responsible for personal, non-essential expenses, such as souvenirs.
The Youth Tour is coordinated and facilitated by the Wyoming Rural Electric Association (WREA) and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
