9th Annual Meeting Highlights

On March 17th the Ninth Annual Meeting was held at the Thermopolis Middle School. Lunch was served to about 250 people and 124 members were present to take action with the election of board of directors and all other business which came before the annual meeting.

Incumbent directors were re-elected to serve on the High Plains Power board of directors. Those incumbents were Hub Thompson from District 1, Jeff Milton representing District 3, Gary Gordon for District 6 and Jesse Hankins from District 7.

Randy Marton, board president, presided over the meeting. He took a few moments to remember former manager, Dave McDonald, who lost his battle to cancer.

Jeff Hohn, the new general manager, gave the state of the cooperative address. A discussion was held regarding the new time-of-use times.

Hub Thompson, Tri-State’s Board of Director president, gave the report on Tri-State’s activities.

Many lucky members walked away with the many door prizes provided by our vendors and also provided by High Plains Power. Energy credit certificates worth $200 and $100 beef certificates were among the door prizes that were given away. In addition to that, all members that were present received a $10 energy credit that was credited to their accounts.
